Accessibility statement

Last updated: October 2026

CloudKnife wants everyone to be able to use cloudknife.com, including people with a disability. This statement explains how accessible the website is, what we know still falls short, and how to reach us when something doesn’t work for you.

This statement covers the website cloudknife.com. It doesn’t cover the CloudKnife platform at app.cloudknife.com.

Measures we take

  • We build the website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
  • Accessibility is part of every design and development round, and of every check before a new version goes live.
  • We test with automated tools and by hand, on desktop and on phones.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) describe what designers and developers need to do to make websites usable for people with a disability. They have three levels: A, AA and AAA.

cloudknife.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that most of the website meets the standard, but some parts don’t fully do so yet. These are listed under “Known limitations” below.

What we have done

  • Keyboard: everything on the website works with a keyboard only, with a clearly visible focus outline. A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing you reach.
  • Structure: every page has one main heading and a logical order of headings, so screen readers can jump through the content.
  • Contrast: text has a contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background (large text at least 3:1). Primary buttons use dark text on purple for this reason.
  • Motion: animations that keep moving can be paused with the “Pause animations” button, next to the animation and in the footer. When your device asks for reduced motion, the website shows still images instead.
  • Images: images that carry information have a text alternative. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Zoom and small screens: you can zoom to 200%, and the website works on screens down to 320 pixels wide without scrolling sideways.
  • Links: links that open a new tab say so to screen readers.

Known limitations

  • Booking calendar (Cal.com): the calendar on the “Book a demo” page comes from Cal.com, an outside service. We styled it, but we can’t fully test or change how it works. If the calendar doesn’t work for you, email us at support@cloudknife.com and we’ll plan the demo with you.
  • Cookie banner (CookieYes): the cookie banner comes from CookieYes, an outside service. We can’t fully test or change how it works. You can change your cookie choices at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Our cookie policy explains which cookies we use.
  • Animated product illustration: the moving product illustration at the top of the home page is hidden from screen readers. Its content is described in the text alternative of the illustration.
  • Legal documents: our terms, privacy policy, cookie policy and data processing policy are long legal texts. If you need an explanation in plain language, email us.

Compatibility

The website is built to work with:

  • recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and mobile;
  • screen readers such as VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), NVDA and JAWS (Windows) and TalkBack (Android);
  • the zoom and text-size settings of your browser and device.

The website uses HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript. The content stays readable when JavaScript is switched off.

How we checked

We assessed the website ourselves, together with our web agency Hartstikke:

  • automated tests with axe-core (WCAG 2.2 level A and AA) on every page, at desktop, tablet and phone sizes;
  • Lighthouse accessibility audits;
  • manual checks with a keyboard, with zoom up to 200% and with reduced motion switched on.

The last check was done in October 2026.
